Genre-fluid pop artist Jaime Jackett is a powerful and evocative Canadian - Australian performer based in Broome, Western Australia. Jackett’s music delicately treads the contrast between light and dark, deliberately juxtaposing them. Enroute to Blues at Bridgetown off the back of their packed show in Broome, Jackett and her band's 'Reinvention' Album Launch Party at The Bird is the only metropolitan stop.
Opening the night are Veruca Moon and Jeeper Under 18's welcome with guardian until 9PM
"Pop sensibility combined with her mischievous sense of play turns the dark to light as “Reinvention” inspires us to explore vulnerability and struggle like a dance party where human emotion twinkles and the disco ball we call earth spins us around the sun. Showing us how to make sense of life’s inevitable challenges through the perspective of a brain cancer survivor, Jaime is an artist who has danced with death - and she continues to do so, with disarming joy." Kerryn Fields (award winning folk singer songwriter and PBS stand in presenter)
